New rapid test! SENSIStrip Multi Tree Nut, a highly sensitive system capable to detect residues of 8 different tree nuts
Highly sensitive system capable to detect residues of 8 different tree nuts
Tree nut allergy is one of the most common food allergies, affecting roughly 0.5 to 1% of the population. Very low amount of tree nuts may cause severe symptoms in affected people. For this reason, sensitive detection systems for nut residues in production environment are required.
The SENSIStrip Multi Tree Nut Lateral Flow Device represents a highly sensitive method capable to detect residues of almond, brazil nut, cashew, hazelnut, macadamia, pecan, pistachio and walnut in rinse water and swab samples.
The tests are based on the principle of immunoassay. With only a few minutes of incubation time, they provide a very easy-to-use technique for adequate control at different stages of the food manufacturing process, across food rinse water and equipment.
Easy to use and quick method
The SENSIStrip Multi Tree nut lateral flow devices are sensitive tools with very low limits of detection (≤ 8 mg/L for rinse water and ≤ 0.16 μg/cm2 for swab samples).
The test is applied in a fast and easy way, without the need for a highly qualified end user. The kits are provided with all the necessary and ready-to-use material to perform 20 individual analyses per kit. In addition, an evaluation card is included to enable a semi-quantitative result, based on the intensity of the test line on the strip.
